The Storm is coming

and a little lightening (Yes, I went inside after THAT one!)

  10. We sure do need the rain.. all we've been getting are the booms and noise but no water. I always love sitting on the porch when it gets like that .. but scatter when the lightning starts.

  21. Amazing, I've never seen lightning like that and you even captured it...a little scarry for me...love rainbows (God's promises). Very neat sky shots. All I can think of when I see these thundershower shots is the song my mom used to sing, rain, rain go away come again another day and its raining its pouring the old man is snoring he bumped his head on the bed and didn't wake up til the morning....I haven't thought of these in years and they just popped into my head now, funny isn't the things you remember. Happy OW

  47. Hi Susan,
I was leaning out the door last night at the tail end of a bad storm that took our power for hours taking a picture of the sky when a very sharp crack of lightning made me scream and run back from the door. It was amusing. Your photo and comment above made me think we may have been scared very similarly.

    Big storms, great lightning.

  51. Hello Susan, Thanks for hosting this amazing weekly photo fest. Of course storms are part of God's creation and as such have their own beauty. Like you, we need the rain.
Just a heads up about one of the participants. They may not even be aware of it. Every time I try to visit Joan @ Apple Jack. I get a warning that visiting this site may damage my computer. I would certainly want to be told this if it was mine. Thanks and blessings,

  65. Hi Susan:)

    Greetings:)

    I'm coming from Ceilo's blog.

Lovely photos. The rainbow is beautiful and awe inspiring.

As you rightly said we need rain to cool down temperatures. Many parts of India are facing a severe drought because rain is playing truant. We need rain for agriculture and for generating electricity and of course for little to children to play and enjoy themselves:)

    Have a lovely day Susan:)
